    • Microsoft has release the system requirements for Windows 7. The minimum required hardware for Win 7 is as follows:

  • CPU: 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • Hard Drive:16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
  • DVD-ROM drive

    do u think windows 7 will run stable on a celeron 2.0 ghz 1.25 gb ram ati radeon 256 mb ?

    Of course it will run stable on all computer with atleast 1gb ram. Your graphics card is a bonus because you can enable aero.

    Go ahead and install win 7 :)

    Can you tell me if the 1gb RAM requirement to run wins 7 is the total amount of RAM that the operating system will be using. It’s a little confusing as I don’t understand if it means you must have a computer with a minimum of 1gb of RAM, or a computer with 1gb of RAM just for Win7.

    Windows 7 Aero theme requires the display driver to be written using Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) v1.1. Is anyone working on this?

    Unless you’re saying Windows 7 runs longer on netbooks with that Windows 7 has a higher CPU resource requirement that makes the CPU
